WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade item increases item level by +3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the Best item upgrade and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one usage and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
